what should you do when someone is having a heart attack?

Heart attack is a serious health issue and people have heart attacks without any prior notice or signs . So it is always better to know the steps you should take when someone is having a heart attack. It could same someone's life. 

There are 5 steps you should take fast.

1) Call 911 or any emergency help line

The average person waits 3 hours before seeking help for symptoms of a heart attack. Many heart attack patients die before they reach a hospital. The sooner the person gets to the emergency room, the better the chance of survival. Prompt medical treatment reduces the amount of heart damage.

2) Have the person sit down, rest, and keep him calm

when someone is having a heart attack he often gets scared which is not good for those kind of situations. So at first calm him/her down , tell him/her everything is fine.

3) Ask if the person if takes any chest pain medicine 

if they does help them take it
such as nitroglycerin, for a known heart condition 

4) Begin CPR if the person is unconscious 

 If you're with a person who is unconscious, tell the 911 dispatcher or another emergency medical specialist. You may be advised to begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

5) Chew and swallow an aspirin

unless you are allergic to aspirin or have been told by your doctor never to take aspirin.
